In the words of the organisation, the award is in recognition of &#8220;her political career, her contribution to the construction of Europe, her ties of friendship with Spain and her permanent vocation of service and commitment to strengthening the European Union, its traditional values and its strategic autonomy&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-155527\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/METSOLA-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1065\" height=\"710\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/METSOLA-scaled.jpg 2560w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/METSOLA-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/METSOLA-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/METSOLA-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/METSOLA-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/METSOLA-2048x1365.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1065px) 100vw, 1065px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The organisation also highlights &#8220;her strong leadership from the beginning of her mandate until today, where President Metsola has been able to articulate majorities in the European Parliament, which have been decisive for the economic and social development of Europe, promoting greater rights for citizens, investments, growth, sustainability and employment; solidarity with migrants and refugees; and equality&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The award ceremony will take place at <strong>13:00<\/strong> at the <strong>Teatro Real in Madrid<\/strong> and can be followed on <em>streaming<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It will be presided over by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, <strong>Jos\u00e9 Manuel Albares<\/strong>, the President of the Senate, <strong>Pedro Roll\u00e1n<\/strong>, and the President of the Constitutional Court, <strong>C\u00e1ndido Conde-Pumpido<\/strong>. The President of Nueva Econom\u00eda F\u00f3rum, <strong>Jos\u00e9 Luis Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong>, will also attend.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The award ceremony was scheduled to take place on 30 October, but the tragedy caused by the hurricane that affected several areas of Valencia and Albacete led to the postponement of the event.
