Ko\u00e7 University Transplant Immunology Research Centre of Excellence is offering a position as a post-doctoral researcher in the \u201cExperimental Studies Group\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Duties of the position<\/strong><\/p>\n

The appointee will be expected to establish and maintain primary cell cultures, immortalized cell lines, pluripotent cell lines, co-cultures, organospheres, etc.; do molecular manipulation (gene silencing, overexpression, mutagenesis, etc.) of cells, and animals when needed; design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses developed by TIREX members on appropriate cell culture and animal models; design projects and write grants to contribute to the financial sustainability of TIREX; periodically monitor cultures for contamination; organize and conduct regular cleaning procedures of the equipment to minimize contamination risk and transfer experimental skills to other members of TIREX and (under)graduate students.<\/p>\n

Required selection criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n

Applicants should possess a PhD degree in molecular biology, cell biology, or a related field in biological & life sciences; demonstrable extensive experience with various cell & tissue culture models and fluency in English. Experience with immune cells, stem cells, animal experiments and international research is desirable.

The selected candidate will be offered a contract for two years with a competitive salary that is commensurate with experience of the applicant.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
