Duties of the position<\/strong><\/p>\n

The appointee will be expected to provide leadership in all aspects of academic activities, including research, teaching and service in the Department; provide leadership in promoting research collaboration, securing external research grants, improving research quality and publication outputs; facilitate the Department to gain and increase visibility and international\/industrial connections; teach and contribute to curriculum development at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; engage in the supervision of research students of the Department, such as MPhil and PhD students; carry out academic and administrative duties as required and perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or his\/her delegates.<\/p>\n

Required selection criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n

Applicants should possess a doctoral degree in Food, Nutrition and Human Health or a related discipline; substantial years of relevant experience in research and university teaching in the discipline of Food, Nutrition and Human Health; prove track records in teaching and research; demonstrate excellence in establishing significant externally funded research programmes; considerable experience in academic programme planning, management and curriculum development; demonstrate academic management and leadership capabilities. They should be open to the use of e-learning and blended learning strategies in teaching and scholarship.<\/p>\n

Benefits<\/b><\/p>\n

The selected candidate will be offered a highly competitive remuneration package and a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
