The postdoctoral fellowship is a temporary 2-year 100 % position where the main goal is to qualify for work in senior academic positions.<\/p>\n

The position is a related to The Trondheim Early Secure Study (TESS), a longitudinal study of child and adolescent psychosocial development, mental health, and health behaviors. TESS has followed a community sample of approximately one thousand children from the 2003 and 2004 birth cohorts in Trondheim, conducting thorough assessments every other year since the children were 4 years old. Participants are now 19-20 years old, and the study is still ongoing.<\/p>\n

The aim of the postdoctoral project is to examine how social media use affect development of self-esteem, social relations, mental health, and health behavior. Social media use and relevant outcomes have been biennially assessed since the participants were 10 years old. Data from two international datasets may also be used in the project.<\/p>\n

The Postdoctoral Fellow will be part of the TESS (tess – NTNU) research group, who currently consists of 8 researchers, 3 postdoc’s and 9 PhD candidates, in addition to the research assistants responsible for data collection.<\/p>\n
