Higher education institutions from at least three different Programme Countries* are invited to work together in consortia, to create and submit their proposal for Joint Master Degrees under the\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/programmes\/erasmus-plus\/discover\/guide\/index_en.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Erasmus+ programme<\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/university.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-148505 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/university.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/university.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/university-300x164.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">An Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD)\u00a0is a prestigious, integrated, international study programme, jointly delivered by an international consortium of higher education institutions (HEIs) and, where relevant, other partners with specific expertise and interest in the study programme.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">EMJMDs aim to:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Foster excellence, innovation, and internationalisation in HEIs<\/li>\n<li>Boost the attractiveness of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ehea.info\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">European Higher Education Area (EHEA)<\/a>\u00a0and support the EU&#8217;s external action in the field of higher education<\/li>\n<li>Improve the level of competences and skills of Master graduates and their employability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Eligible participating organisations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A participating organisation can be any public or private organisation established in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu\/about-erasmus\/how-to-take-part?pk_content=hp-cta-takepart\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">EU Member State, third country associated to the Programme or in an eligible third country not associated to the Programme<\/a>\u00a0that contributes directly and actively to the delivery of the EMJMD.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Such an organisation can be:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>a higher education institution (HEI);<\/li>\n<li>a public or private, a small, medium or large enterprise (including social enterprises);<\/li>\n<li>a public body at local, regional or national level;<\/li>\n<li>a non-profit organisation, association, NGO;<\/li>\n<li>a research institute.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">HEIs established in a Programme Country must hold a valid Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). An ECHE is not required for participating Partner Country HEIs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Eligible participating individuals<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Students at Master level, staff in the participating organisations, invited scholars \/guest lecturers from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/programmes\/erasmus-plus\/node\/3_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Programme and Partner Countries<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Students at Master level who have obtained a first higher education degree or demonstrate a recognised equivalent level of learning according to national legislation and practices in the degree awarding countries are eligible.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>How to apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Students\u00a0apply for a scholarship directly to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eacea.ec.europa.eu\/erasmus-plus\/library\/scholarships-catalogue_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">EMJMD Catalogue<\/a>\u00a0and contact the consortium offering the Master Course for more information on courses and application procedures.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The selection, recruitment and monitoring of individual scholarship holders fall under the responsibility of the EMJMD consortium.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Students can apply to a maximum of\u00a0three\u00a0different programmes. Students and potential scholars\/guest lecturers should contact directly the relevant consortium for more information on courses and application procedures.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For more information please visit the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eacea.ec.europa.eu\/erasmus-plus\/actions\/key-action-1-learning-mobility-individuals\/joint-master-degrees\/scholarships_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">scholarships<\/a>\u00a0page.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Funding\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The maximum grant amount awarded for selected projects will depend on a number of elements:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>the EMJMD length (60, 90 or 120 ECTS credits);<\/li>\n<li>the EMJMD participation costs defined by the consortia;<\/li>\n<li>the implementation of the optional preparatory year;<\/li>\n<li>the number of Programme\/Partner country scholarships.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Who can apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Any higher education institution established in an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu\/about-erasmus\/how-to-take-part?pk_content=hp-cta-takepart\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">EU Member State, third country associated to the Programme or in an eligible third country not associated to the Programme<\/a>, may also participate but not as coordinator.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">HEIs established in a Programme Country must hold a valid\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu\/calls\/erasmus-charter-for-higher-education-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Erasmus Charter for Higher Education<\/a>\u00a0(ECHE). An ECHE is not required for participating HEIs in Partner Countries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Number and profile of participating organisations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Proposals must be submitted by a consortium of at least 3 HEIs (beneficiaries; not affiliated<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">entities) from 3 different countries, of which at least 2 different EU Member States and\/or<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">third countries associated to the Programme.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Number of participants<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The EMJMD grant will finance a maximum of 60 student scholarships for the four intakes.\u00a0In addition, EMJMD consortia can apply for up to 28 additional student scholarships for the four intakes for targeted regions\/countries of the world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For consortia co-funded by the EU and MEXT, a maximum of 32 scholarships will be funded by the EU and 32 scholarships funded by MEXT.\u00a0These consortia are not eligible to apply for additional scholarships for targeted regions\/countries of the world<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Venue(s)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Activities must take place in the eligible Countries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Duration of project<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Projects should normally last 74 months, 15 months for Erasmus Mundus Design Measures.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Duration of activity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Optional preparatory year: 1 academic year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Implementation of the EMJMD programme: 4 consecutive intakes of 1 to 2 academic years (60\/90\/120 ECTS credits).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Where to apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Eligible organisations should submit their proposals to\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eacea.ec.europa.eu\/index_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">European Education and Culture Executive Agency<\/a>\u00a0(EACEA).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>When to apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Applicants have to submit their grant application by\u00a0<strong>15\u00a0February at 17:00 (Brussels time)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em><u>Exception<\/u><\/em><\/strong><em><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Organisations from Belarus and the Russian Federation are<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">not eligible to participate in this action.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Read more<\/strong>\u00a0on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu\/sites\/default\/files\/2023-11\/2024-Erasmus%2BProgramme-Guide_EN.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Erasmus+ Programme Guide<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/programmes.eurodesk.eu\/grants#19820-eu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EURODESK<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This action supports higher education institutions to create international study programmes for students at master level and award scholarships.
