The scheme was approved under the State aid\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/competition-policy.ec.europa.eu\/state-aid\/ukraine_en\">Temporary Crisis and Transition Framework<\/a>, adopted by the Commission on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/commission\/presscorner\/detail\/en\/ip_23_1563\">9 March 2023<\/a>\u00a0and amended on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/commission\/presscorner\/detail\/en\/IP_23_5861\">20 November 2023<\/a>, to support measures in sectors which are key to accelerate the green transition and reduce fuel dependencies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Energ\u00eda-solar-fotovoltaica.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10527\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Energ\u00eda-solar-fotovoltaica.png\" alt=\"placas solares\" width=\"953\" height=\"536\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Energ\u00eda-solar-fotovoltaica.png 953w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Energ\u00eda-solar-fotovoltaica-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Energ\u00eda-solar-fotovoltaica-768x432.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 953px) 100vw, 953px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Spanish measure<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Spain notified to the Commission, under the Temporary Crisis and Transition Framework, a \u20ac1.1 billion scheme to support investments for the production of relevant equipment necessary to foster the transition to a net-zero economy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Under this measure, which will be funded through the Recovery and Resilience Facility (\u201cRRF\u201d), the aid will take the form of\u00a0<strong>direct grants<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The measure will be open to companies producing relevant equipment, namely batteries, solar panels, wind turbines, heat-pumps and electrolysers, as well as key components designed and primarily used as direct input for the production of such equipment or related critical raw materials necessary for their production.<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 99.9988%; border-collapse: collapse; border-style: double; border-color: #001f7d;\" cellpadding=\"0,5\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/autumn-2023-economic-forecast-for-spain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/otono-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"129\" height=\"184\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"entry-title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/autumn-2023-economic-forecast-for-spain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Autumn 2023 Economic Forecast for Spain<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Commission found that the Spanish scheme is in line with the conditions set out in the Temporary Crisis and Transition Framework. In particular, the aid (i) will incentivise the production of relevant equipment for the transition towards a net-zero economy; and (ii) will be granted no later than 31 December 2025.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Commission concluded that the Spanish scheme is necessary, appropriate and proportionate to accelerate the green transition and facilitate the development of certain economic activities, which are of importance for the implementation of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/commission\/presscorner\/detail\/en\/ip_23_510\">Green Deal Industrial Plan<\/a>, in line with\u00a0<strong>Article 107(3)(c) TFEU<\/strong>\u00a0and the conditions set out in the Temporary Crisis and Transition Framework.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On this basis, the Commission approved the aid measure under EU State aid rules.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>More information: <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/commission\/presscorner\/detail\/es\/ip_23_5727\">European Commission<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The European Commission has approved a\u00a0\u20ac1.1 billion\u00a0Spanish scheme to support\u00a0investments for the production of equipment\u00a0necessary to foster the transition towards a net-zero economy, in line with the\u00a0Green Deal Industrial Plan.
