The Department of Business Humanities and Law at Copenhagen Business School<\/strong> invites applications for a non-tenured 2 to 3-year Postdoc in Tax Law and Entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n

The position is intended to build capacity in entrepreneurship studies and is connected to the Carlsberg Semper Ardens: Advance research environment \u201cThe Entrepreneurial Age: Rethinking Entrepreneurship in Society\u201d. Overall, the project group explores in which historical contexts our current understanding of entrepreneurship first emerged, how entrepreneurial discourse assigns value and legitimacy to some forms of behavior over others, and by which mechanisms it affects social change. How we think and talk about entrepreneurship shapes a critical view of entrepreneurship and creates possibilities for reframing, which provide novel impulses for the future.<\/p>\n

The Postdoc will focus on the intersection between tax law and entrepreneurship. On the one hand tax regulations can be detrimental to entrepreneurship by creating additional barriers for a successful venture. On the other hand, tax regulations may be used to induce entrepreneurship by granting taxpayers various tax incentives. Moreover, new tendencies in entrepreneurial behavior may necessitate amendments of tax policy and legislation. Accordingly, the Postdoc should explore this intersection (mainly) from legal perspective.<\/p>\n

The Postdoc position is a two-year fixed-term appointment with opportunity for extension to a third year.<\/p>\n

Qualifications<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The ideal candidate will have completed a PhD in law, with a clear interest in tax law and preferably in issues of relevance for entrepreneurship. The candidate will be committed to an academic career, have the capabilities to conduct internationally recognized research, and be able to communicate research findings clearly. The candidate will show an interest and ability to connect legal dogmatic research and social sciences in his\/her research.<\/p>\n
