It strives to pursue excellence in teaching, learning, scholarship and community engagement. With three academic Faculties and the School of Interdisciplinary Studies, it offers a wide range of undergraduate degree programmes in the areas of Arts, Business and Social Sciences, and the broad curriculum covers an array of general education, interdisciplinary and science courses. The School of Graduate Studies offers research and taught postgraduate programmes up to doctoral level in various disciplines, and provides professional education for the wider society. Lingnan\u2019s liberal arts education is characterised by a broad-based interdisciplinary curriculum with specialised disciplinary studies; close student-staff relationship; a vibrant residential campus; ample global learning opportunities; active community engagement and multifarious workplace experience. Applications are now invited for the following post:<\/p>\n

Faculty of Arts is inviting applications for a research track position at the rank of associate professor. The expertise of the applicants should include two of the following:\u00a0immersive media (VR\/AR), media technologies, computational arts, and animation studies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The appointee is expected to:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. teach relevant courses at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including supervising student final projects;<\/li>\n
  2. develop innovative and rigorous research and generate research outputs with high impact; and<\/li>\n
  3. contribute to service and development of the programme of animation and digital arts.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    General Requirements<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n

    Applicants for the position should have:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. A PhD degree in interactive and emerging media, visual arts or a relevant discipline;<\/li>\n
    2. An excellent publication record in top-tier journals and\/or university presses;<\/li>\n
    3. A good track record in successful competitive grant applications; and<\/li>\n
    4. At least five years of experience in higher education.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Candidates are required to provide information about their research records and a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals of good international standing and\/or university presses.<\/p>\n
