MEPs also want to:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ep_gridcolumn ep-m_product\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-view1200=\"6\" data-view1020=\"6\" data-view750=\"10\" data-view640=\"6\" data-view480=\"8\" data-view320=\"4\">\n<div class=\"ep_gridcolumn-content\">\n<div class=\"ep-a_text\">\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ep-wysiwig_paragraph\">make sure that victims of trafficking who are also in need of international protection receive appropriate support and protection, and that their right to asylum is respected;<\/li>\n<li class=\"ep-wysiwig_paragraph\">criminalise the use of services provided by a trafficking victim of an offence concerning trafficking in human beings;<\/li>\n<li class=\"ep-wysiwig_paragraph\">introduce penalties for companies convicted of trafficking, for example excluding them from tendering processes and from public aid or subsidies;<\/li>\n<li class=\"ep-wysiwig_paragraph\">ensure that victims are not prosecuted for criminal acts they were coerced into committing, and that they receive support regardless of whether they cooperate in investigations or not;<\/li>\n<li class=\"ep-wysiwig_paragraph\">ensure support to victims using a gender-, disability- and child-sensitive approach and based on an intersectional approach;<\/li>\n<li class=\"ep-wysiwig_paragraph\">guarantee the rights of persons with disabilities and appropriate support to unaccompanied children.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"ep-wysiwig_paragraph\">Parliament\u2019s plenary approved the mandate for negotiations without a vote, in line with its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.europarl.europa.eu\/doceo\/document\/RULES-9-2023-07-10-RULE-071_EN.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rules of procedure<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<table style=\"width: 99.9988%; border-collapse: collapse; border-style: double; border-color: #001f7d;\" cellpadding=\"0,5\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/la-comision-propone-normas-mas-estrictas-para-luchar-contra-la-trata-de-seres-humanos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/hermes-rivera-0Uw43gNMwbQ-unsplash-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"201\" height=\"134\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"entry-title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/trafficking-in-human-beings-commission-proposes-stronger-rules-to-fight-the-evolving-crime\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trafficking in human beings: Commission proposes stronger rules to fight the evolving crime<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p class=\"ep-wysiwig_paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Next steps<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"ep-wysiwig_paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Parliament will start negotiations with Council in November.
