It aims to encourage co-operation amongst young people in Europe by providing financial support to youth activities. It concerns activities, which serve the promotion of peace, understanding and co-operation in a spirit of respect for human rights, democracy, tolerance and solidarity<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/jens-johnsson-121807.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-153160\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/jens-johnsson-121807.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/jens-johnsson-121807.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/jens-johnsson-121807-300x164.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are four kinds of grants open to different types of organisations:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coe.int\/web\/european-youth-foundation\/international-activity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">international activities<\/a> (open to international, national, regional, NGOs\/networks)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coe.int\/web\/european-youth-foundation\/annual-work-plan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">annual work<\/a> plans (open to international NGOs\/networks)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coe.int\/web\/european-youth-foundation\/pilot-activity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pilot activities<\/a> (open to local, national, regional NGOs\/networks)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coe.int\/web\/european-youth-foundation\/structural-grant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">structural grants<\/a>\u00a0(open to international and regional NGOs\/networks).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Projects must fall under the Council of Europe&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coe.int\/en\/web\/youth\/priorities\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Youth Sector Priorities<\/a>\u00a0for 2024\/2027.<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Revitalising pluralistic democracy<\/li>\n<li>Young people\u2019s access to rights<\/li>\n<li>Living together in peaceful and inclusive societies<\/li>\n<li>Youth work<\/li>\n<li>Developing and strengthening youth policy based on Council of Europe standards.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The EYF may support the following operations:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>A. International activity &#8211;<\/strong><\/span> including meetings of young people or youth leaders in Europe to promote participation and intercultural learning. Participants must represent at least 7 Council of Europe member states.\u00a0It has to be run by an international team (4 nationalities represented in the project team). The EYF will cover up to two-thirds of the total cost. Maximum grant: \u20ac 25,000.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>B. Annual work plan<\/strong> <\/span>&#8211; including a series of activities over one year, interconnected and which contribute to the same broader aim. Each activity\/element should contribute to the aim of the work plan and the accomplishments of the work plan as a whole should contribute to the global purpose of the organisation.\u00a0These activities would be part of and support your NGO&#8217;s strategy or action plan for the coming years. Maximum grant: \u20ac 60,000.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>C. Structural grant for 2 consecutive years &#8211;<\/strong><\/span> The European Youth Foundation may, every 2 years, grant international non-governmental youth organisations or networks a contribution to cover part of the general administrative costs involved in running their activities at European level. Maximum annual grant: \u20ac 30,000 per year for 2 years (i.e. a maximum of \u20ac60,000 for 2 years).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>D. Pilot activities &#8211;<\/strong><\/span> including youth meetings, capacity building sessions, awareness raising actions, meetings with experts, local workshops, local actions, visits, campaigns, workshops in schools, festivals etc.\u00a0\u00a0The maximum duration of a pilot activity project can be up to one year. The project must start at least 3 months after the deadline.\u00a0The maximum grant is \u20ac15 000.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Who can apply<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coe.int\/web\/european-youth-foundation\/international-youth-ngos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">International non-governmental youth organisations<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coe.int\/web\/european-youth-foundation\/international-network-of-youth-ngos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">international networks\u00a0of youth NGOs<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coe.int\/web\/european-youth-foundation\/regional-network-of-youth-ngos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">regional networks of youth NGOs<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coe.int\/web\/european-youth-foundation\/national-youth-ngos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">national non-governmental youth organisations<\/a>\u00a0, from the\u00a0European Cultural Convention (the 46\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coe.int\/en\/web\/about-us\/our-member-states\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">member states of the Council of Europe<\/a>\u00a0plus Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Holy See and the Russian Federation).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Deadlines<\/strong>:<br \/>\n<strong>1\u00a0April\u00a0(midnight CET) for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>International activities taking place between 1 January and 30 June (1st half of the following year)<\/li>\n<li>Annual Work plan for following year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>1\u00a0October\u00a0(midnight CET) for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">International activities taking place between 1 April and 31 December (2nd half of the following year)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Annual Work plan for following year<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">One-off structural grants for following year (regional network)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>1\u00a0October 2023 (midnight CET)<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coe.int\/en\/web\/european-youth-foundation\/structural-grant\">2-year structural grant<\/a>\u00a0for 2024-2025 (international NGOs\/networks)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Cut-off dates\u00a0for pilot activities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The next deadline date for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coe.int\/en\/web\/european-youth-foundation\/pilot-activity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pilot activities<\/a>\u00a0applications<strong>: 15 January 2024, 15 May 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The EYF will\u00a0<strong>not process any new NGO registrations 2 weeks before<\/strong>\u00a0the deadlines of April and October.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Find out more\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/programmes.eurodesk.eu\/grants?utm_campaign=newsletter-especial-time-to-move&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=acumbamail#19603-eu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EURODESK<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The European Youth Foundation (EYF) is a fund established by the Council of Europe to provide financial support for European youth activities.
