By reducing emissions, it will help the EU reach its goal of a greener, more sustainable future for all.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 99.9988%; border-collapse: collapse; border-style: double; border-color: #001f7d;\" cellpadding=\"0,5\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/nuevas-normas-y-derechos-de-los-pasajeros-de-tren\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Ferrocarril.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"201\" height=\"134\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"entry-title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/new-rules-and-rights-for-train-passengers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New rules and rights for train passengers<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p class=\"ecl-u-type-paragraph-m\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">This new line long almost 149 km will further improve the connection of the Mediterranean Corridor of the\u00a0<a class=\"ecl-link ecl-link--standalone\" href=\"https:\/\/transport.ec.europa.eu\/transport-themes\/infrastructure-and-investment\/trans-european-transport-network-ten-t_en\">Trans-European Transport Network<\/a>\u00a0making long-distance passenger services faster, frequent and reliable, while overall optimising rail operations. The whole line will be electrified and equipped with a European Rail Traffic Management System level 2 signalling system, and safety technology. The railway is designed to accommodate passenger trains of up to 400\u00a0m and freight trains of up to 750\u00a0m in length. Passenger trains will be able to travel at over 250\u00a0km\/h and freight trains up to 100\u00a0km\/h.
