They consist of an\u00a0<strong>asset freeze<\/strong>, a\u00a0<strong>travel ban<\/strong>\u00a0to the EU and a\u00a0<strong>prohibition to make funds or economic resources available<\/strong>\u00a0to those listed. A ban on exports to Iran of equipment which might be used for internal repression and of equipment for monitoring telecommunications is also in place.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The European Union and its member states urge the Iranian authorities to stop any form of violent crackdown against peaceful protests, cease their resort to arbitrary detentions as a means of silencing critical voices, and release all those unjustly detained.<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 99.9988%; border-collapse: collapse; border-style: double; border-color: #001f7d;\" cellpadding=\"0,5\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/iran-declaracion-de-la-alta-representante-en-nombre-de-la-ue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/josep-borrell-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"201\" height=\"134\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"entry-title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/iran-declaration-by-the-high-representative-on-behalf-of-the-eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Declaration by the High Representative on behalf of the EU on the right to peaceful protest in Iran<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The EU calls on Iran to end the practice of imposing and carrying out death sentences against protesters, reverse the death penalty sentences pronounced, as well as provide due process to all detainees.
