Job Description<\/h3>\n

ECDC plans to recruit one person for the above-mentioned project vacancy (2 year contract). ECDC also aims to establish a reserve list, which may be used for any future vacancies in the area.
\nThe jobholder will report to the Head of Section Communication and Spokesperson and contribute to the work of the Communication Section.
\nHe\/She will be responsible in particular for the following areas of work:
\n\u2022 Support the management and planning of specific communication activities;
\n\u2022 Support the planning, editing and production of content for a variety of communication channels (e.g. web, social media, newsletters);
\n\u2022 Communication support to the Centre, including on communicating scientific outputs, public health campaigns and risk communication;
\n\u2022 Project management support, including assisting with procurement;
\n\u2022 Stakeholder and networks outreach and engagement;
\n\u2022 Support the routine web management and maintenance;
\n\u2022 Directly liaise with external companies and contractors as needed;
\n\u2022 Other activities assigned to the Communication team and any other tasks related to his\/her area of work as requested.<\/p>\n

Qualifications and experiences required<\/h3>\n

A. Formal requirements<\/h3>\n

In order to be an eligible candidate you need to fulfil a set of formal requirements. These requirements are:
\n\u2022 A post-secondary education attested by a diploma, or a secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education and appropriate professional experience of 3 years;
\n\u2022 Thorough knowledge of one of the official EU languages and a satisfactory knowledge of another official EU language to the extent necessary for the performance of his\/her duties;
\n\u2022 Nationality of one of the EU Member States or of Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein;
\n\u2022 To be entitled to his or her full rights as a citizen;
\n\u2022 To have fulfilled any obligations imposed by the applicable laws on military service;
\n\u2022 Meet the character requirements for the duties involved; and
\n\u2022 Be physically fit to perform the duties linked to the post.<\/p>\n

B. Selection criteria<\/h3>\n

To qualify for this post we have identified essential criteria with regard to professional experience and personal characteristics\/interpersonal skills. These are:<\/p>\n

Professional experience\/knowledge:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 At least 3 years, (following the award of the diploma), of professional experience acquired in positions relevant to the job description;
\n\u2022 Experience in communication support in a large organisation;
\n\u2022 Work experience in an international\/multicultural environment;
\n\u2022 Very good planning and project management skills evidenced by relevant work experience;
\n\u2022 Experience of working with Drupal and\/or other web content management systems;
\n\u2022 Excellent level of English, both written and spoken.<\/p>\n

Personal characteristics\/interpersonal skills:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Quality driven and service minded;
\n\u2022 Ability to work collaboratively and build strong working relationships;
\n\u2022 Excellent communication skills, verbal and written;
\n\u2022 Results oriented;
\n\u2022 Very good organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks.<\/p>\n
