Specific programs on energy conversion and storage are currently developed with an interdisciplinary approach, which involves materials preparation, analysis and testing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Division will give the opportunity to carry out advanced research for a postdoctoral researcher in a dynamic, international research environment in close collaboration with industry and leading universities worldwide.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Project<\/strong> description<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The project is related to the synthesis of novel phases of MXenes and the exploration of their use in energy storage and conversion. It includes materials preparation, characterization, integration in devices and device testing. The Experimental Physics subject is fully equipped with a series of synthetic routes and characterization tools to enable the smooth development of the project. You will join a highly dynamic and motivated team with strong international connections in the field of advanced nanomaterials for energy conversion and storage.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Duties<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Working as a postdoctoral will give you great opportunities to define your daily tasks and how they are to be carried out. You will act and train as a project manager and this is combined with your own education and development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The position includes a short development programe comprising pedagogical teaching and learning, leadership development, communication training and training in how to apply for external funding. There are also opportunities to apply for funding for specific laboratory equipment.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Qualifications<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In order to be eligible for employment as post doctor you must have a PhD or a foreign degree equivalent to a PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Nanosciences and Engineering, or similar. A doctoral degree awarded no more than three years before the application deadline provides a useful qualification. Candidates who have been awarded a doctoral degree at an earlier date may also be considered if there are special grounds, for example, different types of statutory leave of absence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Required competences for the position are related to the knowledge and application of electrochemical characterization of nanomaterials and nanostructures for energy conversion and storage.
