{"id":125907,"date":"2022-12-09T03:00:19","date_gmt":"2022-12-09T02:00:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/?p=125907"},"modified":"2022-12-07T11:39:16","modified_gmt":"2022-12-07T10:39:16","slug":"editor-position-in-austria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/editor-position-in-austria\/","title":{"rendered":"Editor Position in Austria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/pc-1207886_1920.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-108506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/pc-1207886_1920.jpg\" alt=\"libreta naranja abierta junto a ordenador mac, sobre la mesa de un escritorio\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/pc-1207886_1920.jpg 1920w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/pc-1207886_1920-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/pc-1207886_1920-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/pc-1207886_1920-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/pc-1207886_1920-1536x1024.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) is organising a selection procedure to constitute a reserve list from which to fill the vacant post of Editor (contractual agent function group FG, grade IV) in the Communications and Events unit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you are passionate about communications and interested in developing value-driven messages about fundamental rights and organising events, at FRA you will have the opportunity to make the difference in a dynamic professional environment.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Duties<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Editor will work in the Communications and Events unit under the supervision of the Head of Unit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The role of the Editor requires a high level of collaboration and joint working within the unit and between teams across FRA.<br \/>\nThe successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following tasks:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Editing FRA publications, texts for the FRA website and concept papers and supporting documents for events and conferences;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Supporting the development of the annual publication programme on the basis of communication priorities and research outputs;<\/li>\n<li>Coordination and implementation of the publication programme, including writing, commissioning, editing, revising, proofing, translation, typsetting and print;<\/li>\n<li>Identifying key messages in FRA\u2019s work, proposing and preparing relevant communications to highlight these messages (via the website, social media, press releases etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Tailoring communications to diverse audiences (including policymakers, civil society organisations, international partners, and other relevant stakeholders); working with content owners to improve accessibility and readability of FRA\u2019s publications to ensure maximum impact;<\/li>\n<li>Assisting in the preparation of calls for tender, implementation of contracts for services and processing payments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Duties applicable to all staff:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Actively work towards the achievement of FRA\u2019s goals in accordance with the Strategic Plan;<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Head of Unit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Requirements<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">General conditions<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Be a national of one of the Member States of the European Union;<\/li>\n<li>Be entitled to his or her full rights as a citizen;<\/li>\n<li>Have fulfilled any obligations imposed by the laws concerning military service;<\/li>\n<li>Meet the character requirements as to suitability for the performance of the duties involved;<\/li>\n<li>Be physically fit to perform the duties linked to the post.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Education<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Have a level of education, which corresponds to completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Professional experience<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>A minimum of 2 years full-time professional experience as an editor or in a similar role, after obtaining the relevant degree and before the closing date of the present vacancy notice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Language skills<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Fluency in English (level C2), as English is the working language of FRA and the language of FRA publications;
