The number of scholarship-winners from Russia continues to be high, confirming Russia\u2019s position as one of the top EMJM scholarship recipients worldwide.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/student-849822_1920.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-107033 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/student-849822_1920-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"manos sobre un teclado de ordenador\" width=\"740\" height=\"494\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/student-849822_1920-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/student-849822_1920-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/student-849822_1920-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/student-849822_1920-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/student-849822_1920.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 740px) 100vw, 740px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"clearfix text-formatted field field--name-field-text field--type-text-long field--label-hidden field__item\">\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\">Under the EMJM scheme, students get an opportunity to pursue Master degree in leading European universities in at least two different European countries.\u00a0The fully funded scholarship covers tuition fee, travel costs and living allowance of the recipient.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\">Each scholarship holder will study in different European countries, with France, Italy and Belgium being the most popular destinations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\">Following the long-established and highly regarded practice, the Delegation of the European Union to Russia organised a pre-departure orientation event on 25 August for the Russian students.\u00a0<\/span>Congratulating the students, the Ambassador of the European Union to the Russian Federation, Markus Ederer,<span lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0underlined the importance<\/span><em><span lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0\u201cto preserve individual people-to-people contacts and opportunities for Russian people, in particular young people, to learn about Europe as it really is, from the inside\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\">and reminded that<em>\u00a0\u201cwhile many joint activities between the EU and Russia have been discontinued, academic mobility programmes, including the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters, are still available to Russian students\u201d.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 99.9988%; border-collapse: collapse; border-style: double; border-color: #001f7d;\" cellpadding=\"0,5\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/ficha\/equity-in-school-education-in-europe-structures-policies-and-student-performance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/equity-209x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"141\" height=\"170\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"entry-title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/ficha\/equity-in-school-education-in-europe-structures-policies-and-student-performance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Equity in school education in Europe. Structures, policies and student performance<br \/>\n<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\">Bringing together the Russian students, Erasmus alumni and EU Member States, the event provided an interactive platform to share information on studying in Europe and other practical aspects. Sharing their experiences, Erasmus alumni provided useful tips on how students can optimise the opportunities offered by the programme. EU Member States representatives briefly presented their respective countries and regions, welcomed the Russian students and responded to their queries. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Russia\u2019s participation in Erasmus+<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In view of Russia\u2019s war against Ukraine,\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">the participation of Russian public entities or bodies in all ongoing and future actions of the\u00a0<\/span>EU\u2019s Erasmus+ programme for education, training, youth and sport\u00a0<span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">has been terminated. At the same time, Russian students, scholars and academic staff remain eligible for short term-exchanges and degree mobility. Student and staff exchanges towards Russia also remain eligible.
