These include Ministry of Waterways &#8211; Fiji\u00a0,\u00a0Samoa Conservation Society, Lamacca Climate Change Association \u2013 Vanuatu, Community Centred Conservation \u2013 Fiji, \u00a0National Trust of Fiji, Ebiil Society \u2013 Palau, \u00a0Tonga National Youth Congress, Vanuatu Business Resilience Council, Birdlife International &#8211; Solomon Islands, Blue Ventures Conservation &#8211; Timor Leste.\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">A new Regional project supported<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Kiwa \u201cWISH+\u201d new regional project of EUR 4.8 million will focus on integrated watershed management and will be implemented by Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) at key sites in Fiji, Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea. This project will intervene in targeted watershed and coral reef areas in the Vatu-i-Ra Seascape (in Fiji) and the Bismarck-Solomon Seascape (in Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands).<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 99.9988%; border-collapse: collapse; border-style: double; border-color: #001f7d;\" cellpadding=\"0,5\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/ficha\/africa-el-caribe-el-pacifico-y-los-paises-y-territorios-de-ultramar-2019\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/africa-caribe-212x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"127\" height=\"179\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"entry-title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/ficha\/africa-el-caribe-el-pacifico-y-los-paises-y-territorios-de-ultramar-2019\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00c1frica, el Caribe, el Pac\u00edfico y los pa\u00edses y territorios de ultramar 2019<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">A renewed commitment from the Initiative&#8217;s donors<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Initiative&#8217;s donors have also renewed their financial support, raising the current budget from EUR 41 million to EUR 57 million. France is providing an additional contribution of EUR 8 million, the European Union EUR 6 million, New Zealand NZD 2 million and Australia AUD 2 million. The coalition of donors thus shows its commitment to climate change adaptation and biodiversity in one of the regions most affected by climate impacts. The increase in their contributions will strengthen the actions of the Initiative, whose mission aims to to implement projects targeting Nature-based Solutions for climate change adaptation in the Pacific while mainstreaming gender equality and a human-rights-based approach.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Emergency that threatens the livelihoods, security and wellbeing of its people and ecosystems\u201d,\u00a0declared H.E.
