These interference techniques carried out by Russia have been strengthened during its\u00a0<strong>unprovoked and unjustified military aggression against Ukraine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 99.9988%; border-collapse: collapse; border-style: double; border-color: #001f7d;\" cellpadding=\"0,5\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/kremlins-never-ending-thirst-for-death-and-devastation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/EUvsDISINFO.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"201\" height=\"134\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"entry-title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/kremlins-never-ending-thirst-for-death-and-devastation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kremlin\u2019s Never-Ending Thirst for Death and Devastation<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>The conclusions demonstrate the EU\u2019s commitment to strengthening its engagement to tackle this threat at all levels, notably in\u00a0<strong>multilateral formats<\/strong>\u00a0with and within the United Nations and other international and regional organisations. The Council invites all relevant parties to step up work towards the\u00a0<strong>development of international principles<\/strong>\u00a0on disinformation and FIMI.<\/p>\n<p>The Council calls on the High Representative and the Commission to present options, in full respect of human rights and fundamental freedoms, for well-defined\u00a0<strong>measures\u00a0<\/strong>that could be taken<strong>\u00a0against FIMI actors<\/strong>\u00a0when this is necessary\u00a0<strong>to<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>protect EU public order and security<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Council today approved conclusions on foreign information manipulation and interference (FIMI).
