If successfully completed, this will lead to a qualification certifying that you are able to work as a professional conference interpreter in both consecutive and simultaneous modes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>you are a national of an\u00a0EU Member State\u00a0or of one of the candidate countries (Albania, The Republic of North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia or Turkey);<\/li>\n<li>you already have a university degree or equivalent qualification, or are in the final year of a course leading to a university degree or equivalent qualification,<\/li>\n<li>you have applied or intend to apply for a full Master\/postgraduate course in conference interpreting ooffered for the year 2022\/2023\u00a0by a recognised university or university-level institution. For courses that last more than one year, only final year students will be eligible, and<\/li>\n<li>you need to pay\/have paid a tuition fee for the academic year 2022\/2023\u00a0(= final year of your Master\/Postgraduate course). Please note that you are not eligible to apply if your Master\/postgraduate course is free of charge,<\/li>\n<li>you are registered with\u00a0one of the following\u00a0<strong>active languages<\/strong>: Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Greek, Irish, Italian,\u00a0Maltese, Portuguese, Slovak or Slovene\u00a0or<\/li>\n<li>you are registered with one of the active language in your\u00a0course\u00a0with a\u00a0<strong>retour<\/strong>\u00a0into English, French or German:\u00a0Estonian, Finnish, Hungarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Romanian, Spanish or Swedish<\/li>\n<li>and your passive languages and\/or retour language\u00a0in line with the preferential profiles as published\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/files\/bursaries-2022-2023-language-profiles_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The bursary will amount to the equivalent of the tuition fee for academic year 2022-2023, with a ceiling amount of EUR 3 000.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to apply<\/strong><br \/>\nApplicant need to complete the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/scic.ec.europa.eu\/scic\/spirit\/login.jsp?apLang=E\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">application form<\/a>\u00a02022\/2023\u00a0(compulsory!) and upload all the following documents:<br \/>\n1. a copy of their passport or identity card (front and back);<br \/>\n2. a detailed CV, in French, German or English, listing all their qualifications\u00a0(the use of the \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/europass\/en\/create-europass-cv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Europass\u2019 template<\/a>\u00a0is compulsory);<br \/>\n3. a short motivation letter (between 250 and 500 words), written in their mother tongue;<br \/>\n4. a scanned copy of the completed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/files\/bursaries-2022-2023-university-information-form_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">university information form<\/a>;<br \/>\n5. the form related to their\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/budget\/contracts_grants\/info_contracts\/financial_id\/financial-id_en.cfm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bank details<\/a>, duly signed and dated (please read carefully the instructions given in the footnotes on the form);<br \/>\n6. the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/budget\/contracts_grants\/info_contracts\/legal_entities\/legal-entities_en.cfm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">legal entity form<\/a>, duly signed and dated, and<br \/>\n7. a copy of their last university degree.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline<\/strong>: 20\u00a0September 2022, 17:00\u00a0(Brussels time).<\/p>\n<p><strong>More information: <a href=\"https:\/\/programmes.eurodesk.eu\/learning#62832\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eurodesk<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Each year, the Directorate General for Interpretation (DG Interpretation, also known as SCIC) offers a number of bursaries DG Interpretation study bursaries are available to students of all disciplines who have been accepted for a full-time postgraduate training course in conference interpreting offered by a recognised university or university-level institution.
