It focuses its work on the following pillars:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Creating a collaborative community of practice<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge-sharing and mapping<\/li>\n<li>Accelerating innovation in digital education<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Hub&#8217;s third pillar accelerating innovation in Digital Education is crucial for our future generations. In order to ensure the quality and inclusivity of digital education and training, it is to accelerate and dedicate more resources to this cause.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"title-h1 eac-page-title\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">European Education Area explained<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"block block-layout-builder block-field-blocknodepagefield-page-intro-text\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"eac-hero\">The European Education Area initiative helps European Union Member States work together to build more resilient and inclusive education and training systems.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"block block-layout-builder block-field-blocknodepagefield-page-content\">\n<div class=\"full-html-body\">\n<div class=\"ecl-container\">\n<div class=\"eac-body\">\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Why are we building the European Education Area?<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Education is the foundation for personal fulfilment, employability and active, responsible citizenship. It is essential to the vitality of European societies and economies. The first packages of measures were adopted in 2018 and 2019.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a result of decades of close cooperation, significant progress has already been made, with<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>almost 95% of children attending early childhood education from the age of 4<\/li>\n<li>more than 40% of young adults acquiring a higher education qualification<\/li>\n<li>almost 90% of young people leaving education with either an upper secondary diploma or enrolment in training<\/li>\n<li>80% of recent Erasmus+ graduates gaining employment in less than 3 months after graduating<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These results represent strong progress, but further work is still required, in particular concerning<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">the share of 15-year-olds with low ability in reading, maths and science<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">the participation of adults in learning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Join <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eusurvey\/runner\/EDEH_registration_2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> the community of the European Digital Education Hub.<\/p>\n<h3>For further information<\/h3>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/education.ec.europa.eu\/fr\/about\/eea-explained\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European Commission \u2014 European Education Area<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is the European Digital Education Hub?
