Their activities contribute to the expansion of the terrorist threat in Western Africa and therefore pose a serious and continued\u00a0<strong>threat to the EU\u00a0<\/strong>and to<strong>\u00a0regional and international stability<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With these new measures, a total of\u00a0<strong>13 persons\u00a0<\/strong>are now subject to a\u00a0<strong>travel ban\u00a0<\/strong>and an\u00a0<strong>asset freeze<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>four groups\u00a0<\/strong>to an asset freeze. In addition, EU persons and operators \u00a0are forbidden from making funds or economic resources available to the listed persons and groups.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Today&#8217;s decision confirms\u00a0<strong>the EU&#8217;s unwavering resolve to combat the enduring terrorist threat<\/strong>\u00a0posed by Al-Qaeda, ISIL\/Da&#8217;esh and all their regional affiliates.
