The information is helpful to service providers, public authorities, and other international organisations in improving European citizens\u2019 quality of life. Data gathered from the Copernicus programme has proven to be of help in several areas, including\u00a0<strong>emergency response<\/strong>, global<strong>\u00a0food security<\/strong>, combating climate change, border control and national security.<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 99.9988%; border-collapse: collapse; border-style: double; border-color: #001f7d;\" cellpadding=\"0,5\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/do-galileo-satellites-work-all-over-the-world\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/mediateca-8.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"201\" height=\"134\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"entry-title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/do-galileo-satellites-work-all-over-the-world\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Do Galileo satellites work all over the world?<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Council conclusions on Copernicus by 2035 help prepare the\u00a0<strong>future<\/strong>\u00a0of the Copernicus space programme. They set out a\u00a0<strong>vision<\/strong>\u00a0for 2035 and\u00a0<strong>political guidance<\/strong>\u00a0for the Copernicus programme based on three key pillars: the Green Deal, the\u00a0<strong>digital transition<\/strong>, and security, together contributing to a more resilient Europe. The conclusions take into account\u00a0<strong>user needs<\/strong>, new\u00a0<strong>environmental challenges<\/strong>\u00a0and the state of the art of research. They also maximise the inclusion of new digital technologies in the programme.<\/p>\n<h3>Space traffic management<\/h3>\n<p>Space is becoming more crowded than ever. To tackle the global challenges that come with this increased traffic, rules on activities in space have to change accordingly. Sharing of capacities, information and best practices\u00a0<strong>amongst member states<\/strong>\u00a0is key to address strategic and competitiveness challenges in space.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 99.9988%; border-collapse: collapse; border-style: double; border-color: #001f7d;\" cellpadding=\"0,5\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/eu-space-is-the-key-to-disaster-risk-management-and-response\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/eu_space-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"201\" height=\"134\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"entry-title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/eu-space-is-the-key-to-disaster-risk-management-and-response\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EU Space is the key to disaster risk management and response<br \/>\n<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the conclusions on an EU approach to space traffic management, ministers underline the importance of strengthening\u00a0<strong>EU space surveillance<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>tracking capabilities\u00a0<\/strong>and of coordinating legislation and standardisation.
