Candidates must have fulfilled any obligations imposed on them by law concerning military service and meet the character requirements for the duties involved.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conditions of employment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The successful applicants will be appointed as Temporary Staff members of EFCA, according to the provisions of Article 2(f), Title I of the Conditions of Employment of other servants of the European Union (CEOS). They must abide by the obligations of the Staff Regulations including the provisions regarding conflict of interest.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The pay of staff members consists of a basic salary weighted by the correction coefficient (for Spain currently 95.2 %) and of additional allowances and deductions. Basic Salary: There is a basic salary scale for each grade, divided into a number of steps. Staff members progress automatically to the next step every two years until they reach the top of the scale for that grade. The basic monthly salary for grade AST4 in first step is 4.534,93 Euro and 4.725,47 Euro in second step (figures in Euro valid as of 1 January 2022 do not include any allowances).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Functions and duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reporting to the Head of Unit Resources &amp; IT, and as regards the day-to-day work under the direct supervision of the Head of Sector Finance and Procurement, the tasks of the jobholder include, in particular:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Providing financial and administrative support to the planning, implementation, coordination and<br \/>\nfollow up of the Agency\u2019s activities, both internal and external;<\/li>\n<li>Preparing, initiating and\/or verifying financial transactions (such as budgetary and legal<br \/>\ncommitments, invoices, recoveries and payments), thus contributing to the legality and regularity of<br \/>\nfinancial and administrative transactions;<\/li>\n<li>Providing support and assistance to the development, integration and improvement of policies,<br \/>\nprocesses and working practices in the area of Finance and Procurement;<\/li>\n<li>Conducting the ex post financial verification exercise;<\/li>\n<li>Advising on financial and administrative practices in line with EU budgetary and financial rules;<\/li>\n<li>Regularly reporting on financial and administrative transactions;<\/li>\n<li>Communicating with internal customers on their budget and procurement needs and assisting in the<br \/>\nbudget management, as well as communicating with external customers (such as suppliers and<br \/>\nCommission services) on coordination, monitoring and follow-up of related issues;<\/li>\n<li>Participating and collaborating in the overall activities of the sector;<\/li>\n<li>Acting as backup for other staff in the sector;<\/li>\n<li>Other tasks as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At least five years of work experience relevant to the tasks of the profile;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least two years of work experience in the application of relevant EU financial regulatory frameworks<br \/>\nand regulations;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent computer skills and ability to use relevant software applications, in particular word,<br \/>\nSpreadsheet and project planning tools;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise;<\/li>\n<li>Service oriented, flexible and with ability to work effectively within an international team;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills \u2013 ability to communicate with people on all levels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"field field-name-field-epso-deadline field-type-datestamp field-label-inline clearfix\">\n<div class=\"field-label\"><strong>Deadline: <span class=\"date-display-single\">26\/06\/2022 &#8211; 23:59<\/span><span class=\"epso-suffix\">(Brussels time)<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"field field-name-field-epso-locations field-type-entityreference field-label-inline clearfix\">\n<div class=\"field-label\"><strong>Location(s): <a href=\"https:\/\/epso.europa.eu\/job-opportunities\/locations\/spain\/vigo-spain_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vigo (Spain)<\/a><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"field field-name-field-epso-grade field-type-entityreference field-label-inline clearfix\">\n<div class=\"field-label\"><strong>Grade: <a href=\"https:\/\/epso.europa.eu\/job-opportunities\/grade\/ast-4_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AST 4<\/a><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"field field-name-field-epso-institutions-agencies field-type-entityreference field-label-inline clearfix\">\n<div class=\"field-label\"><strong>Institution\/Agency: <a href=\"https:\/\/epso.europa.eu\/job-opportunities\/institutions-and-agencies\/1446-efca-european-fisheries-control-agency_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">(EFCA) European Fisheries Control Agency<\/a><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"field field-name-field-epso-type-of-contract field-type-entityreference field-label-inline clearfix\">\n<div class=\"field-label\"><strong>Type of contract: <a href=\"https:\/\/epso.europa.eu\/job-opportunities\/type-of-contract\/temporary-staff_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Temporary staff<\/a><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3>More information<\/h3>\n<div><a href=\"https:\/\/epso.europa.eu\/job-opportunities\/temporary\/9847-efca-ta-ast4-2208_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EPSO &#8211; Call<\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Agency will welcome applications from highly motivated candidates to participate in the development of EFCA.
