Between May the 2nd and 3rd, the observers were in Bogota receiving training to update their electoral, political, legal, media agenda and security knowledge, among other issues.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 99.9988%; border-collapse: collapse; border-style: double; border-color: #001f7d;\" cellpadding=\"0,5\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/nuevo-programa-de-la-union-europea-para-empresas-de-latinoamerica-al-invest-verde\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/colombia-ue-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"166\" height=\"93\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"entry-title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/nuevo-programa-de-la-union-europea-para-empresas-de-latinoamerica-al-invest-verde\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biodiversidad y paz: prioridades conjuntas de la UE de cooperaci\u00f3n con Colombia<br \/>\n<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>These teams will be meeting with municipal and departmental electoral authorities, monitoring political campaigns in the regions, meeting with local media and reporting their work to the Mission&#8217;s Core Team of analysts.<\/p>\n<p>A few days before May the 29th a group of short-term observers and diplomats from EU Member States, as well as a delegation of Euro MPs, will expand the team to more than 100 people.\u00a0They will monitor the Sunday voting day when Colombians will vote to elect the President of the Republic.<\/p>\n<div class=\"col-md-7 col-lg-8 col-xl-9\">\n<div class=\"card\">\n<div class=\"card-body\">\n<div class=\"clearfix text-formatted field field--name-field-text field--type-text-long field--label-hidden field__item\">\n<div class=\"col-md-7 col-lg-8 col-xl-9\">\n<div class=\"card\">\n<div class=\"card-body\">\n<div class=\"clearfix text-formatted field field--name-field-text field--type-text-long field--label-hidden field__item\">\n<p>The EU EOM was invited by the Electoral Organization of Colombia to observe the country&#8217;s general elections.
