These actions have been in breach of the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic relations.<\/p>\n<p>By virtue of Article 16 of Protocol 7 of the Treaty, the privileges and immunities of the Russian citizens concerned will be revoked and they will be required to leave the Belgian territory.<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 99.9988%; border-collapse: collapse; border-style: double; border-color: #001f7d;\" cellpadding=\"0,5\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/declaration-by-the-high-representative-on-behalf-of-the-eu-on-russian-atrocities-committed-in-bucha\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/borrell2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"148\" height=\"148\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"entry-title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cde.ual.es\/en\/declaration-by-the-high-representative-on-behalf-of-the-eu-on-russian-atrocities-committed-in-bucha\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Declaration by the High Representative on behalf of the EU on Russian atrocities committed in Bucha<br \/>\n<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>The Secretary General of the European External Action Service Stefano Sannino<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>has summoned the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the European Union, Vladimir Chizhov, in the afternoon to inform him about this decision.<\/p>\n<p>The decision comes at the time of mounting reports about atrocities committed by Russia\u2019s armed forces in a number of occupied Ukrainian towns that have now been liberated, notably Bucha.
